Constellate
I had a lot of fun making confetti rain down a canvas element at work, and had an idea of how to make a previous piece of artwork mobile.
Check it outLogogramize
Logogram, from the Greek λογος (word) and γραμμα (letter, character): a character representing a word.
Alternatively called logographs or lexigraphs, I chose logogram because it sounds better with the -ize suffix to my ears. In truth, I'm not sure that what this program creates could be called logograms, because it draws words in such a way that people will look just like peoples save for an extra addition to the end - but I'm not quite certain I could call it a letter.
Suffice to say, I'm not a linguist.
Check it outTrees
It's said that art imitates life. Hearing this, I attempted to replicate the random growth of trees - within certain parameters. For example, every child branch in the below image skews off within 30° of its parent in either direction
The best version my program generated is below. It's so pretty, in fact, that one friend said it could make a good tattoo.
All other examples are significantly worse, and best avoided by the public. But, if you want to see them - and an explanation of what produced them - I won't stop you.
Check it outTrellis
As a child, my neighbors had something like a trellis sitting in their backyard. It consisted of a bench beneath an arch which grew vines in the summer. Ever since then, I've wanted to have one of my own. Unfortunately, I'm no good with plants. Historically, any plant I keep indoors lasts all of an hour before one of my cats eats it.
As with Trees, the artwork leading up to this was of a lower quality. Still, it's fun to reminisce.
